There's a guy that lives down the street from me that has either the 400 or the 650 i'm not sure but he LOVES it. Its a pretty big scooter, practically a motorcycle, but considering the size of it and the engine... it gets real good mileage. And its just TWIST 'N GO! :D Gotta love it

The burgman 400 is a very good scooter. I recently bought a burgman 400 k8 and have never been happier. This thing has very deceiving power...it moves!

Please, if you buy one, take a motorcycle safety course in your area. The learning curve on this scooter is basically the same as a more traditional motorcycle. Too many people buy this scooters thinking they're easy to ride and don't want to deal with a motorcycle. With the burgman 400, you ARE dealing with a motorcycle. Basic knowledge of cornering (Outside-Inside-Outside) and S.E.E. will save your life on this scooter.

I drive it daily though, about 120 miles to and from Seattle. It does very well at highway speeds and is super stable on the steep inclines we have in this city. Plenty of storage too!

Great bike, beats others I've ridden hands-down...no contest. I can't emphasize the safety course enough though, and starting slow through residential areas in order to be prepared to deal with every imaginable risk before it happens. Safety First!

Welcome to you new members who have posted on this topic :bannana: . Nice to see some activity regarding maxi scoots. Altho I ride an 07 S'Wing and am quite happy with the performance and other things, I have had some experience with Suzuki dirt bikes and found them to be quite reliable and comparable with other metric bikes. I have to assume that the Bergie would be the same. Plus 1 on the suggestion others made on an MSF course prior to buying any 2 wheeler. Most every MSF course furnishes the bikes so you don't have to risk any damage to your own ;) .

Both my wife and I have the 650 Exec model. We love them. I have to agree with the others... take the MSF course.

The bergie is really nice. I would get it if I were you. I like the size and forward momentum is has. Not squirelly at all.

Take the safety course also. You will be aware of proper skills and may even save a little on the insurance. Even though it is cheap anyway.

I can't say I have been on one though, I have a Piaggio MP3. Made some money in the market and spent it on that, otherwise I would have gotten the bergie.

Stay safe and post up some pics of whatever you get and let us know.

I love my B400! I don't know if it is still true, but two years ago, the Burgman 400 was the best selling scooter in the world over 125cc. That's nothing to sneeze at.
