fuel for PS250?

Postby stillsteamn on Tue Jul 27, 2010 12:01 am

Another discrepancy in the documentation. The manual for my '08 People S250 says to use 92-95 octane fuel. The under-seat sticker says to use 87 R+M/2 fuel. The mid-grade 87-octane fuel seems to be working fine for the last two fillups. Anyone know if we really need the 92-95 octane? My mileage has been running 62-69 mpg but I have been running hard some of the time.

The rule of thumb is if you are not getting a spark knock under acceleration and the performance is good, any higher octane is just money out the exhaust pipe.

i will give one but to the above post

if the scooter sits for any amount of time the cheap stuff isnt any good as a majority of the cheap gas if not all by now has ethonal in it and gas with ethonal will clog jets faster then no ethonal gas

about the only way to get pure gas(none e 10) is to run premium

ethonal is such a pia to work with that even stabil had to come out with a new formula becase there formula made ethonal gas even worse when storing it

if you use ehtonal gas and store it use seafoam and not stabil
